Kindermusik Wednesdays.....

Today is our longest Kindermusik day of the week. I love it, but wow, by end of day, I'm beat! We just finished dinner, and I excused myself for a few moments to just take a deep breath and chill. Anyway, one of the classes I teach is a babysigning class called Sign & Sing. I love it, because I feel like I'm using my Music Therapy background somewhat in that class and really taking music, mixed with Signing to help new mommies ease the frustration they have when all their child knows how to do is scream to be understood. It's really cool! Anyway, I asked Elizabeth to snap a few pics for me, for the purpose of my blog, and here are some of those...

I always have a strategy session with the parents, during which I dump a ton of toys on the floor to distract the babies... and well... as you can see, they dove right in!

The next two are me using signs with the parents...

Anna stayed home sick from school today. :( I guess she still hasn't shaken this bug that 's been traveling around my household. Hopefully she can go to school tomorrow. I'm still *knock on wood* the last person standing who has stayed well. For anyone that is interested, I've been taking Airbourne for the last 5 days (at least 2x a day), along with Zicam nasal swabs, and well...so far so good, so you might want to try that if you are living with sick people!

Oh, I took a couple pictures of our family room, with new floor and area rug...

and...our new kitchen floor
Gonna go play with the kiddies for a while before bathtime and bedtime... maybe I'll have inspiration to post again later... if not, have a perfect evening.

What's in my head today?

Hello again, my second post of the day. I'm thinking about that song again (Stop this Train)... I took Aiden over to Kristin's house today for his 2 year pictures... and it is really starting to hit me that he is almost 2 years old. He's my baby, it still feels that way... and I know that the age from 2 to 3 is the year that he will turn from baby to boy, no matter how much I want him to stay a baby!!! His party is this weekend, so many wonderful pictures to come I'm sure... and I can't wait to share the works of art that Kristin took today!

Okay, onward to other things....
I took a couple pictures of our renovations...

first, our new front door

a sample of our new floor. This is the foyer, but it's also in the dining room, hallway and family room.
It has definitely been a challenge for our family going through these changes in our house, but wow, it was WORTH IT!!!!!! I'm so happy now!

Poor Lucy isn't so happy, though... she doesn't have much rug left to lay on and is constantly driving us crazy pacing around looking for a comfy spot to sleep... so it looks like we are headed to PetSmart to buy her a new bed!

Okay off to cook dinnner....
Have a GREAT evening everyone. I'll be praticing a bit for Kindermusik tomorrow, and watching American Idol!! Gotta love it!
Love, Holly

It's all in the eyes....

I was messing around with my camera today...taking pictures around the house (which I will put in my next posting) and decided to try and take a picture of my eyes... why? Well, I actually have Sunflowers in them. I thought that might make a cool picture, so this is what I came up with... :)

Anna was quite intriqued by what I was doing, and wanted me to take a picture of her beautiful browns...

Dinner, Renovations and John Mayer

Today wasn't bad... I love that it's colder outside right now. We are actually feeling a SEASON! They are actually talking about a freeze warning tonight. wow!

Mondays right now are my days to Mentor our new teacher, Elizabeth, so Aiden and I participated in a great Kindermusik class this morning. I'm still amazed that we are at the stage in our business of hiring staff, adding locations, etc. Right now Aiden is priviledged to be getting Kindermusik 3x a week! What a musical kid he is, oh and if any of you haven't seen his "tiptoe dance" yet, you are missing out!!!!!

Dinnertime at the Lesnick household always proves to be interesting. An event in itself. Tonight I took some pics of the kids being silly as usual. I thought a couple were pretty cute! Especially with mac and cheese all over Aiden's face!

Things around here have been nuts since we have been getting our renovations done... here's a sample of the changes around here....

Tonight my goal is to relax a little and watch Heroes. Will and I love to watch that show! Of course I'm endlessly drawn to the computer to work ----marketing----invoicing-----rehearsing----memorizing----lesson plans----AHHH!!!

Okay, I have to talk about this song I've been obsessing over lately. As some of you know by now, I'm pretty into John Mayer as of late. His soulful voice, mixed with his masterful guitar playing, just gets to me. My wonderful hubby surprised me with tickets to his concert last Saturday night, and I was in pure heaven for two hours! Anyway, his new album Continuum is great, but there is one song that if anyone has a chance to listen to (and if you are a thirtysomething) please do! It's called "Stop this Train". When you listen to it, let me know, and tell me if you all feel the same way he does in this song -- this song is so ME right now. Sometimes I look at my beautiful children and just want to press the "pause" button!!
Nighty night!

Let's give this a try...

Well, I've been having a great time reading other people's blogs, so thought...why not, let's try this on for size. I think it's a great way to express thoughts, ideas, etc. as I used to do with my journal, and also a great way share what is going on in my life. My goal is to keep those interested up to date on me, Will, Anna, Aiden and my ever growing Kindermusik business. You can also find me on My Space, but I like the idea of having a seperate place for journaling... Here is my first picture, which everyone has seen by now...but hey I have to start with a picture of my family right?

This was a challenging week, as Aiden, then Anna, followed by Will were all sick. I also worked my tail off with Kindermusik...but, my wonderful hubby, even in the sick state that he was in, took me for an early Valentine's Day present, to see John Mayer. It was an unbelievable concert and the adrenilin is still high from it! All I can say is WOW! Anyone listen to his new album yet?? If not, check it out!

We were very excited and relieved to hear from Sam today. He is in Iraq, and was unable to communicate for a while... but today he checked in, and all is ok. Well, as ok as it can be anyway.

Signing off for now. ....
